(Avi Steinhardt/Special to NJ.com) comments ATLANTIC CITY The delayed 200-foot observation wheel to be builton the Steel Pier in Atlantic City is now slated to open next year. Previously scheduled to be operational earlier this year , it’s now expected to be ready no later than July 1, 2017. That’s according to theCasino Reinvestment Development Authority, which restructured its loan with the Steel Pier. Each of the 42 fully-enclosed gondolas will offer food and beverage service.
